Spirit of the Space: How We Stage a Listing
Every house holds energy. Anyone who's walked into a space and immediately felt at home already knows this. Staging isn't just furniture placement, it's helping a house feel like its best, most welcoming self before anyone walks through the door.
Here's how we do it.
Clear the Entry The threshold sets the tone for everything that follows. A clean, open entryway invites a buyer in and lets the whole house breathe from the first step.
Let the Light In Open every curtain, clean every window, turn on every lamp. Natural light photographs beautifully and makes a space feel bigger, brighter, and full of possibility.
Clear the Clutter, Keep the Character A staged home should feel spacious and neutral enough for a buyer to imagine their own life there, while keeping the details that make a house feel special, original hardwood, a great built-in, a fireplace with real presence.
Set the Scene, Room by Room A made bed, a set table, a cozy reading corner, small vignettes help buyers picture themselves living in each space rather than just walking through an empty room.
Clear the Energy Before every showing, we open windows for fresh air, add a candle or fresh flowers, and set an intention for the walkthrough ahead. Call it staging, call it a little ritual, it works.
A house has to breathe before someone can imagine living in it. That's the whole idea behind Spirit of the Space, and it's part of every listing I take on.
